PERSONAL PROJECT – JUNE 2016 TO TODAY
Electronic knowledge – Arduino software (for coding) – Arduino Mega and RAMPS 1.4
Currently I am building a SLA 3D printer from scratch, because I love making electronic things, and also because I am passionate about printers. This one will use the technology of daylight resin and LCD screen. It is inspired by the “RAR Print”, an open source and low-cost photopolymer 3D printer, that uses stepper motors from CD/DVD–roms drives.
But this only prints little volumes, so that’s why I wanted to build mine, in order to have a larger printing volume. I am trying to build this printer with the most recycled parts possible, in order to avoid huge costs, and to show that a 3D printer can be affordable.
